I believe effective 🙅‍♀️ product strategy happens at the intersection 🎯of design, business, technology, and the user. I thrive on collaborating with diverse multidisciplinary teams, solving business problems, and envisioning experiences that delight users; for design is not just tech skills, but soft skills too. 🧠🫀

My career has allowed me to work across and teach a wide range of UX disciplines and now lead me to specialise in SaaS & complex applications.

From planning the strategy for enterprise products, spending weeks researching onboard cargo ships, working as a “Design team of one”, or building and leading Product and Design teams; I have been fortunate to work with some amazing Designers to deliver exceptional experiences.

Whether it’s defining product direction, establishing principles, portfolio reviews or just some support, the best tool a Designer can have, is another Designer.

Katherine Liu

Hi there! I’m a designer and illustrator in the Bay Area, and I’m currently in the process of starting my own company (just started in June!). Before that, I was a senior product designer at Instagram, and have also spent time at Facebook, IDEO, and Salesforce. As a product designer, I worked across product strategy, interaction design, and visual design. In my free time, I do freelance illustration (client work and running my own small art business)—would love to chat about any or all of these things if they match your interests!
